I know I've fallen off the face of the earth, and it will be that way for another couple of weeks, but for now this:

A group of us always go to the opera on New Years Eve and have a dinner matched to the opera theme. This year, the opera is Carmen, set in Spain. Wouldn't it be fun to have a Spanish themed menu matched with Tapena wines??? Perhaps we'd have a series of tapas, some before the opera, some after.

I used to drink a lot of Tapena Garnacha, which is my favorite of their offerings. My favorite grocery stopped carrying it, so I sort of forgot about it. Thaks for the great reminder. I may have to switch groceries!!!!

Hugs to you. I'll be back with the program soon!
My best, PamPam @ Sticks Forks Fingershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05215706757696815799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703965921091069609.post-13776949045149188362011-12-01T09:43:49.067-05:002011-12-01T09:43:49.067-05:00Following both on Twitter.Following both on Twitter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703965921091069609.post-43786282856281146932011-12-01T09:43:10.823-05:002011-12-01T09:43:10.823-05:00I would have a tapas party!I would have a tapas party!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703965921091069609.post-23867876883367031242011-11-30T17:34:46.674-05:002011-11-30T17:34:46.674-05:00Have to agree with the others and say that Tapas w...Have to agree with the others and say that Tapas would totally be the way to go...gives folks the chance to mix and match some of the pairings.
Of course if Jason is having us over for Paella...Todd - VT Wine Mediahttp://www.vtwinemedia.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703965921091069609.post-39521959401576617032011-11-30T16:51:48.151-05:002011-11-30T16:51:48.151-05:00I will be honest...I have NEVER made Tapas before ...I will be honest...I have NEVER made Tapas before but I received a Tapas recipe book awhile ago and would love to put it to good use. If I win this party pack I will bust out that book and make a few Tapas to pair nicely with Tapena wines. That way everyone moves around the room, not just stuck in the same spot. Invite old and new friends and introduce them to each dish and wine.Tcgirlie24noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703965921091069609.post-35259697020610862892011-11-29T11:00:11.280-05:002011-11-29T11:00:11.280-05:00I'm guessing saying I would drink them alone w...I'm guessing saying I would drink them alone while watching an episode of Modern Family is not an appropriate answer? ;-) In all seriousness, I'd probably whip up some homemade tapas, but would probably stash one bottle for myself for a random Wednesday night. A girl can be a little selfish.

Unrelated, have you tried Woodchuck's Barrel Select? I thought about you since we were just talking about cider. I saw it at my local liquor store the other day and since I we were all giving their products such a hard time I thought I would try them. I was actually pleasantly surprised. Will it replace Crispin, definitely not, but much better than their usual varieties. It had a lot more nuance to it.Kellyhttp://www.pink-apron.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703965921091069609.post-73307266498972304002011-11-28T20:08:05.234-05:002011-11-28T20:08:05.234-05:00We just returned from a trip to Madrid to visit my...We just returned from a trip to Madrid to visit my husband's family. We had a great time and sampled tapas in restaurants, bars, and in homes. We even went to a wedding in Seville where the dinner was all Andaluz style tapas. I took notes on all of it, asked for recipes and noted the ingredients. We would love to host a party for all our friends and family here to try a taste of Spain along with Tapena wines, too. We would serve old favorites, new dishes we discovered and also some family secrets!Heather Wilkinson Rojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17704949156266722016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703965921091069609.post-40719671652194918142011-11-28T20:01:47.068-05:002011-11-28T20:01:47.068-05:00I follow you on twitter.I follow you on twitter.Laura @ Sprint 2 the Tablehttp://www.sprint2thetable.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703965921091069609.post-57280469218406601032011-11-28T20:01:21.801-05:002011-11-28T20:01:21.801-05:00I need to win this! :) I'd love to entertain ...I need to win this! :) I'd love to entertain with Tapena wines.
