Ancient Fire Wines and Kate’s Kitchen teamed up looking for CSA/Farm Market inspired menus. We are both thoroughly enjoying our fresh local produce and wanted to see what others have come up with to celebrate summer.
For a week we asked visitors to submit comments to this post on both blogs with a menu inspired by selections found in their CSA share or purchased at a local farm market. While the response wasn’t overwhelming, we are able to bring you two different inspirations from our Foodbuzz friends for your own summer enjoyment.
This week we are sharing the entry for a Vegetable Stroganoff from the Weekly Vegan Menu blog by the VeganAide. One of the unique aspects of the Weekly Vegan Menu are the cost breakdowns, letting you easily see what ingredients cost; which is useful beyond just a single recipe.
I contacted the VeganAide to let them know about their winning entry and got a very warm response:
“Woo-hoo! Thanks you guys! It was a pleasure to participate and read the cool stuff you two post. I love CSA and it is a great way to get others to see the wonderful food that can be made using our local produce.
Keep up the great job and thanks for citing my recipe as a winner!”
Please take a few minutes to check out the recipe and leave a comment for the VeganAide. Thank you to everyone who responded to the contest.
During the contest Margot cooked up a couple of CSA inspired dishes that we surely enjoyed. Here’s to those fresh summer vegetables!!!
